UBCO students and recent graduates are invited to learn about the McCall MacBain Scholarships at McGill!

During this one-hour event, we’ll give a brief overview of the scholarship program, eligibility criteria, and the application process, followed by a live Q&A with a scholarship representative and a recent UBCO recipient.

As a McCall MacBain Scholar, you will connect with mentors, develop your leadership skills, and receive full funding to start a master's or professional degree at McGill University. The scholarship covers all tuition and fees, plus a living stipend of $2,300 per month during academic terms, summer funding options, and a relocation grant. Applications for our 2027 cohort are open until September 23, 4:00 PM Eastern Time, for students and graduates of universities in Canada and the United States, as well as all Canadians.

This is an in-person event. Registered participants will receive a copy of the presentation slides after the session.

Scholarship Eligibility

To be eligible for our 2027 cohort, you will need to meet at least ONE of the following criteria:

You are a current student on track to earn your first bachelor’s degree by August 2027
You earned your first bachelor’s degree in the last five years (January 2021 or later)
You earned your first bachelor’s degree more than five years ago and were 30 years or younger on January 1st, 2026

We welcome applicants of all citizenships and nationalities. Two-thirds of our scholarships are offered to Canadian citizens, permanent residents, and refugees, and one-third are offered to international candidates.
